30 years of Dragon Ball The year 2014 saw the 30th anniversary of Dragon Ball, which means that this excellent Japanese manga has been around for around 3 decades. This story has been around for so much time and has been able to create widespread interest in so many people. This includes the anime series, different movies, films along with video games and of course the two manga series. You would find that the hero, Goku’s heroic journey has been told in such a way that there are no rivals in the line. In fact, it was also able to make a huge hit in the United States in the 1990s.

He also explores the world in search of the seven orbs that are called Dragon Balls, which are able to call the wish-granting dragon. There have been two anime series which have been made, known as Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z which serves as a sequel to the first original series. There have been around three television specials, as well as eighteen animated films along with an anime sequel known as Dragon Ball GT which circulates around events that occurred after the manga. A faster-paced version of Dragon Ball Z was also produced from 2009 to 2011 which was known as Dragon Ball Kai.  And of course, because this became such an important part of the culture, there have been different companies that have taken up the merchandising of this icon, which include trading card games along with soundtracks, video games and numerous action figures.
